"From crisis response to lasting change, we're fighting for every child's right to survive, learn and be protected – in the UK and around the world." Save the Children website
As educators and Christians, we feel that it is only right to give generously to help others. We are committed to supporting charities that increase the literacy, educational opportunities, health and well-being of children.
Each month, 10% of our profit is given to a registered charity to further that aim.
This month's charity is 'Save the Children'. Save the Children work internationally. In the last calendar year, Save the Children reached 41.2 million children worldwide, 375,000 of these were in the UK.
Their work involves responding to emergencies, setting up educational and healthcare programmes and protecting children from violence and exploitation amongst other things.
They also work to increase children's voices in international decision-making forums and work for policy changes in governmental decisions.
