Welcome to The Curiosity Academy!
The Curiosity Academy was founded on the core principle that the gaining of knowledge should be a joy-filled passion.
The Academy's motto "studium scientiae" means 'the pursuit of knowledge' and each year, the Academy recruits the most enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated learners of their subject area from across the country to join an elite fellowship who pursue the best knowledge possible.
But there's more to The Curiosity Academy than just learning.
As each year's new students soon find out, under the leadership of the enigmatic Professor Sofia Ruxana (aka Roxy), the graduates of The Curiosity Academy are an elite fellowship of highly-trained and trusted academics: they are quite literally the custodians of the past and the guardians of the future!
Will this year's cohort graduate and join the elite or will they fall at the first hurdle Roxy puts in their way?

Jimi and Kit have a shared love of music, film and literature. Jimi's main passion is music; for him, music gets him through the day. He is rarely to be found without his headphones and he's always excited to discover new genres of music or pick up a new instrument.
Kit is usually found watching a film or with his nose buried in a book. He loves uncovering the different techniques an author or producer has used to develop story lines. Whether it's ancient texts, Romantic poetry, Hollywood's Golden Era or modern sci-fi, Kit loves anything with a storyline!

Raphael, Rafa to his friends, is usually found covered in paint, clay or some other unidentifiable mixture! Rafa has ADHD and is always buzzing with energy. Whilst his impulsivity and difficulties focusing caused other schools to give up on him, Roxy sees his potential. Rafa can't help but doodle, paint and create constantly. Every piece of paper he comes across is splattered and messy but full of amazing designs and creative doodles. His somewhat splattered letters will open up an amazing world of creativity and expression.

From toilets to turbo engines, Izzy is determined to figure out how the world we live in works and tell you all about it!

Frankie loves to explore the world. She knows how to say 'hello', 'please', 'thank you', goodbye' and 'where's the toilet' in at least seven languages! Her favourite hobby is to spin the globe and then discover more about wherever her finger lands! That's when she's not investigating climate, volcanoes, rivers and a whole host of other geographical features. Frankie's geographical knowledge is outstanding and she will wow you with her knowledge. Whether you're interested in natural or human geography, Frankie can't wait to show you what she's learned this month.
