Our 6-month subscription package also includes a Curiosity Crew or Curiosity Academy themed bookmark for your child.
Our 12-month subscription package includes a bookmark and up to 2 birthday cards and a Christmas card sent to your child(ren). You will be invited to tell us their birthday month(s) at the checkout and the card(s) will be included in that month's delivery.
Absolutely not! We strongly believe that the best quality education should be accessible to all and that children should not be denied access to fantastic resources for financial reasons. Whilst we do need to make a living, we do our very best to keep our prices as low as possible. As Christians we believe it is more important to enable as many children as possible to thrive rather than maximising our profits: this is one of the reasons why 10% of all our profits go towards global educational charities.
Yes, we are much cheaper than other subscription products but as our letters are written by two qualified teachers (one of whom is a neurodiversity specialist) with nearly 30 years' of teaching experience between us, we are 100% confident that we offer a fully customisable and accessible product that covers all areas of the curriculum.
There are three reasons why our letters are dyslexia-friendly and accessible for neurodiverse children.
Firstly, Louise has a Masters-level qualification in assessing students with dyslexia and spent nearly a decade working at one of the top London schools for students with dyslexia and SPLDs: her teaching knowledge is second to none!
Secondly, we follow the recommendations of SASC (The SPLD Assessment Standards Committee) for the layout of our letters. Our font style, size and line spacing all follow professional recommendations and the majority of our writing is black on beige backgrounds to reduce visual stress and blurring. We also keep our paragraphs deliberately short to ‘chunk’ our information into more accessible amounts. This is why our letters have graphics around the borders or next to the writing but we try our hardest to never overlay the writing over graphics.
Thirdly, we are home-schooling parents to neurodiverse twins so have a lot of experience in breaking complex teaching into accessible, engaging and inspiring formats and activities. If our children don’t like an activity it will not make it into a Curiosity Letter!
100%! We are home-educating parents ourselves and have tested all the letters on our neurodiverse children to ensure they are interesting, engaging and challenging.
The letters cover the full range of the UK National Curriculum and the activity pages at the end of each letter offer a range of fun, interactive (and occasionally messy!) ideas to use at home for your child’s education.
Additionally, each letter offers a reflection task to build up a picture of your child’s development and progress which will help meet the requirements of your annual Local Authority check-up meeting should you wish.
No! As a pair of former teachers, we pride ourselves on researching and writing each letter in house, drawing on our shared 30 years’ of experience delivering 'Outstanding' (OFSTED-rated) and 'Excellent' (ISI-rated) teaching across Primary and Secondary schools, including one of the leading London schools for dyslexia and SPLD education. We also draw upon our shared passion for travel and global discovery having toured and lived in 5 of the 7 continents between us.
We send our letters on the 20th of each month. If the 20th falls on a Bank Holiday or weekend, we send them the next business day.
When you first subscribe, if it is between the 1st and 20th of the month, your first letter will be sent on the 20th.
If you subscribe between the 21st and the end of the month, your first letter will be sent within two working days, and subsequent letters will be sent on the 20th of each month.
UK subscribers typically receive their letters within 3-5 days, subject to Royal Mail schedules. International subscribers will experience slightly longer delivery times depending on their country.

Whilst we do our very best to keep our costs as low as possible compared to other monthly-letter subscription services, the cost of postage is set by Royal Mail which we offset as much as we can.

This is really up to you. You can arrange a customised subscription based on the character(s) that your child/children want to receive each month. However, whilst we can put multiple names on the envelope, please be aware that all letters will be sent in a single envelope: if you require multiple deliveries then you will need multiple subscriptions.
You can send a single subscription to multiple household members by entering all names at checkout.
Example:
First Name: Ruth, Izzy and Jamie
Last Name: Smith
Absolutely! As parents of twins we understand only too well the need to be adaptable and flexible! Our pricing options are the same for Curiosity Crew and Curiosity Academy so you can completely customize your subscription based on the differing ages, stages and interests of your children (or yourself!). Simply input at the checkout which characters you want to hear from and we will take care of the rest.
